At your personal demonstration you will be able to hear the different sound performance of all three Linn Exakt systems. What is Linn Exakt? Linn Exakt technology delivers a breakthrough in audio performance; the most direct connection ever made between you and the artist. It pushes the lossless digital signal path all the way to the speaker — eliminating noise and distortion. What’s wrong with the traditional analogue signal path? Even the best analogue hi-fi systems suffer from loss at each stage of the signal’s journey. Analogue components introduce loss in two forms: noise and distortion. The Linn Exakt signal path Linn Exakt keeps the signal digital for longer and removes several lossy analogue stages. The sources of distortion and noise that were previously present in the player, pre-amp, crossover and analogue cables have now all been eliminated. Integrating Linn DS in a Knekt system

The Linn DS products can only act as sources (like a CD player, Radio etc) within the Knekt system. The Linn DS or Linn DSI products CANNOT replace any Linn Knekt preamplifier products within a system as they do not have any Linn Knekt control sockets (Remote IN/OUT) and can only be controlled by IR. (Early versions on the Linn Sekrit-DSI had Remote IN/OUT connectors, but never incorporated in to the internal software for use) The Internal volume control of the Linn DS products must be disabled. Otherwise you will have two volume controls in the system. One within the Linn DS player and one in each room controlled by the Linn Knekt-RCU. This means that you could have the Room volume quite high and the Linn DS volume quite low. If you switch to another source, like the TV, this is now playing at a high volume control! Using the Linn DSI products can confuse things even further as you may not be listening to a media streaming source and/or you cannot disable the internal volume control: Linn Room Control Unit (RCU) Linn BASIK-3(-IR) RCU The Linn Sneaky-DS and Linn Sekrit-DSI are the only products with Linn RCU- Accessory sockets. These ACC sockets are designed for use with ONLY the Linn Basik3 and Linn Basik3-IR RCU use. The Linn Basik3 RCU allows Standby and volume up/down control. The Linn Basik3-IR RCU has the additional IR control option of the Linn Sekrit-DSI and Linn Sneaky-DS.

With the new RedEye remotes system you can use your iPhone or iPod touch to control your TV, stereo, cable box, DVD player, and many other devices that receive standard (infrared) signals. In other words, no more hunting through your sofa cushions for all those different remotes; all the control you need is right in your pocket. After you install the RedEye app (a free download from iTunes) on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can communicate with the RedEye device over Wi-Fi. Unlike most other remote controls, the RedEye system connects to the Internet.* That means there is a whole world of new possibilities for you to experience your entertainment. Linn Knekt Multi-Room System

Linn Knekt was the original multi-room system supplied by Linn. At Rococo, we are one of a few of Linn’s Knekt specialists, and have been installing, servicing and repairing multi-room systems for over 20 years. If you are having any issues with your multi-room system or would like to talk about upgrading, we provide excellent customer service and can handle your request quick and efficiently. Some Linn DS internet Radio functions can be programmed into the Linn Dekoda. The Knekt-RCU will only control the Linn DS by IR and therefore has no feedback as to which track is playing etc. The important point is that the Linn Knekt-RCU must be programmed for this new source by a Linn specialist.
