Get more performance and value when you upgrade your Linn system this summer. From 1st July to 17th September Linn are offering three ways to power up your system – simply choose the one that’s best for you. 1) Go Aktiv If you have Linn speakers, you’ll know the ultimate upgrade is to go fully Aktiv. Buy an Akurate or Majik power amplifier and get the Aktiv cards for your system absolutely free.* When Linn speakers are configured to run fully Aktiv, all the speaker drive units (bass, mid, tweeter etc.) have the signal tailored by Aktiv filters and are driven individually by their own amplifier channels. Aktiv playback systems benefit from improved timing and control, as well as lower distortion across the entire frequency range thanks to the elimination of inefficiency and signal-bleed within the passive crossover. 2) Choose +2 Buy an Akurate or Majik power amp and Linn will throw in an extra 2 channels free.* That means an Akurate 4200 can be yours for the price of an Akurate 2200; Majik 6100 for the price of a Majik 4100, and so on (see the full list in the terms below). Adding two extra channels of amplification immediately allows you to bi-amp a stereo playback system – giving you significantly better sound instantly. Bi-amping reduces distortion and increases separation between high and low frequencies, and powers individual speaker drive units with greater efficiency and control. Bi-amping is an easy first step along the multi-amping path (tri-amping, quad-amping), bring you closer to the audio nirvana of fully Aktiv. If you’re buying a power amp to go Aktiv, you can choose between getting 2 free channels, or the full set of Aktiv cards – whichever saves you more money. 3) Powered by Dynamik When Linn launched Dynamik power supplies in 2009 it transformed the performance of their products. If you haven’t upgraded yet, don’t miss out: power up your system with an ultra-efficient, low noise Dynamik power supply. During the Power Up promotion, when you buy any Majik, Akurate or Klimax product, Linn will give you a Dynamik upgrade for a product you already own. What should I do next?
