The smart unit is well-made and finished neatly.

The dial on the top of the panel is a lot more than just a classy volume control.

If you press down on the different parts, it gives you access to other controls such as skipping tracks or pausing.

Easy to Use.

The simple system is easy to use considering the range of sources available.

Firstly, you will require Linn’s free Konfig app to set up the Selekt, next you will have to download Linn’s Kazoo app to control what you wish to play.

In addition, there is also a physical remote for those who would prefer it.

Streaming Services.

In simple terms, the Selekt DSM is a modular product that can be tailored to all tastes and budgets.

At the basic end of the table, the product contains a high-end streamer and a digital preamp all in a single box.

Its main features include popular network streaming through – Spotify, Qobuz streaming services, Tidal and Apple Airplay.

This allows you to receive the best sound even from all your favourite streaming sources.

Digital Inputs.

There are 5 digital inputs in the back of the Selekt.

These include an HDMI ARC for connection to a TV plus a USB for computer connection.

Linn has also managed to involve an analogue.

There are dedicated sockets for magnet / moving coil cartridges.

Space Optimisation.

Linn has also taken advantage of here as this is a new product, they have been able to develop a new core process engine.

This allows the latest version of Space Optimisation to apply to the system.

With Space Optimisation, you can receive the best possible sound from your system, no matter what speakers you use or where they’re placed in the room.

So, you can have your favourite suited speakers for the room as well as the best sound.

Control Buttons.

The product itself, like all of the latest Linn newcomers, contains 6 smart buttons.

Each one can provide immediate access to your favourite listening sources, this includes radio, podcasts, your turntable or Blu-ray player.

The buttons are easy to set and control making the device easy to use.

Upgrades.

With its up-gradable design, your Selekt can be adapted in the future whenever your needs change.

Sound.

With regards to the sound as a whole, it sounds much clearer and more controlled with the bass compared to a standard system.
