Driver technology:

Bass/Midrange driver with FyneFlute:

By using a paper cone on the bass/mid driver the system can deliver natural sounding instrumentation and vocals with clear transient attitude. Fitted to the centre of the driver is a phase plug, this provides smooth mid range roll-off characteristics. With traditional driver surround profiles at a definite frequency energy can be reflected back down the cone resulting in colouration. To achieve a dissimilar interface, which effectively terminates cone energy, Fyne Audio have employed FyneFlute technology.  This fluctuating geometry eliminates mis-termination effects and reduces coloration to provide greater musical accuracy.

Tweeter:

The tweeter combines a powerful Neodymium magnet system with a 25mm Polyester dome, generating neat and controlled high frequency details. Integrated within the protective mesh cover is a phase loss compensator which delays the output from specific areas of the dome to give a continuous and smooth response.

Cabinet Construction:

An attractive cabinet is the starting factor for any high performance loudspeaker. The F300 offers exceptional rigidity through a combination of MDF panels which are cross braced internally. Further stiffness is achieved by pairing the low frequency driver magnet to the cabinet bracing using a resonant absorbing mastic. Widening the footprint on the floor standing models using a plinth with floor coupling spikes provides stability for tight bass and accurate stereo imaging. The cabinet is available in a choice of three high quality vinyl finishes; walnut, black ash or light oak. 

Crossover: 

Optimal performance from the F300 is assured by using quality precision components within the crossover including low loss LF laminated core inductor and HF polypropylene capacitors. Even though the designs are computer optimised, fine tuning is always undertaken through critical auditioning The gold plated speaker terminals ensure a clean signal path. 

A Bookshelf Design: 

Packing a punch well beyond its diminutive size, the versatile F300 can be used for two or multichannel applications. Pre fitted to the rear panel of the F300 is a bracket allowing the speaker to be easily flush-mounted to a wall. This is a really handy feature where space is premium, or for using the speaker as a rear effects speaker in a home cinema set up.
