Arcam Solo Neo

The Solo Neo builds on the success of its predecessor the Solo Music but has undergone some major revisions along the way. Most notably is the addition of the network music player. USB audio playback is retained but the Neo can stream most audio types from your network (PC, NAS) over a wired or wireless connection. The unit comes supplied with inbuilt wireless receiver (802.11b/g) and an external antenna plus RJ45 wired connection port.

The internal CD player is still a top class unit with 24-bit Wolfson DAC and a low jitter Colpitts crystal clock. This, along with the streamed audio, USB and DAB/FM/AM tuners is fed to a newly designed pre-amp section and then to the new power amp circuits. Every Arcam unit is designed round the ability to produce fantastic sound and compromise is not something they entertain. Twin toroidal transformers and oversized power supply feed 9 independently regulated supplies for various parts of the unit. Delicate audio circuits and power amp circuits are therefore fed independently preserving the audio quality. Output is rated at 2x 50w RMA at 8Ω but don't be fooled into thinking this is the sort of 50w you are used to seeing on a typical system. The unit can quite happily drive the Arcam Muso speakers or virtually any other speaker you care to partner it with.

Five line inputs are available to allow other sources to be directed into the Neo and a pre-amplifier output allows for expansion to other power amplification. The CD and DAB signals can be directed to the optical digital output for recording plus the front panel sports a headphone connection and second 3.5mm jack for a portable player to be connected into the unit.

A second room connection supplies a signal into a second zone. Whilst the source follows the main area a separate volume control is available for this other area and it has its own IR connection on the back panel. Simply add a 3rd party IR system to bring in the control commands. A 12v trigger is available for the second area to trigger power amplifiers etc.

RS232 control permits operation with larger control systems or connection of the Arcam iPod iR dock with full 2-way control.

If you are not satisfied with the goods and inform us within seven days of your receipt of the goods, we will arrange to collect them (the whole order) and give a full refund. Or we will exchange items if they are faulty on delivery to you and we are notified within 10 days of the customers receipt of the product. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing.
