Most multi-room audio systems deliver music to each room using a central power amplifier and large lengths of loudspeaker cable. The result is an inefficient solution with most of the vital musical information lost along the way.

The Linn approach is far smarter. The Linn Knekt system distributes both data and musical information from its source via CAT5 cabling, protecting the signal until it reaches each room. There, the signal is amplified using a dedicated power amplifier, before short loudspeaker cables carry the signal to discreet loudspeakers mounted in the wall or ceiling.

With a range of discreet control keypads, you can access and control your music from any zone. The result is exceptional sound quality, for which Linn is renowned, in every zone of your home, yacht or commercial premises.

The Linn Knekt system can distribute up to 16 different music sources, such as Radio or CD, to 128 individual zones. These zones could be rooms of your home, cabins on your yacht, rooms of your hotel, areas of your retail store or even tables of your restaurant.

The incredible flexibility of a Linn Knekt system means that you can upgrade the performance of individual zones where you spend most time, such as the kitchen or study. You can access central sources or choose to add dedicated 'local' music sources to give you personal access to your own music in any zone.

The Linn Akurate Music Server integrates fully into Linn's knekt multi-room hi-fi system, it has unlimited storage and flexibility as your music will be stored remotely on a standard networked hard drive array (NAS or PC) rather than on the Linn Akurate Music Server.

You will have greater security and reliability by configuring your network storage device using RAID technology.

You can also control the Linn Akurate Music Server using a third party touch control using ethernet or RS232.
