Linn CD Players Replaced by the DS RangeWhilst a compact disc is still a major method of storing sound recordings, it is certainly not the only way to retain a physical storage medium for audio compilations and even though CD's are still an extremely popular vehicle for audio storage, CD players are no longer considered to be the best method for listening to you audio entertainment. In 1982, when the very first compact discs became available, CD's and CD players offered significant benefits over vinyl records (which suffered from scratches, noise feedback and fragility) and record players, and for over 25 years cd players have played an important role in our musical enjoyment. Although, CD players were the best alternative of the time, a quarter of a century and technology has moved on considerably and, unfortunately, at least for CD players, they are no longer the impressive product that they were once considered to be. Linn Digital Stream players (DS) are the fresh faced kids on the block and offer many advantages over their CD player counterpart. Linn DS players are able to reproduce music with less background noise, which gives a truer recreation of an original audio performance and whilst CD players are something of a one trick pony (only able to play CD's), DS players can form the centre of your whole home entertainment system, where the quality of digital TV audio, games console audio, downloads (including ripped CD's), as well as, audio CD's can be, not only, played, but, the quality will be enhanced by filtration of background noise and distortion, which will, even, improve your old 45’s and 78’s. DS players can store entire music libraries on its own hard drive and permits easy access to play lists and album art and from differing origins; MP3, CD, PC and vinyl record collections. Linn precision engineers have spent 36 years at the forefront of audio perfection, which is ten years longer than the oldest CD has been in existence and with the innovative DSi player, Linn has created a product which will move with the times, but, will be an essential device for current audiophiles. A Linn DSi players replacing a CD player as the listening method of choice for home entertainment systems, is the natural progression of audio requirements for tomorrow as well as today, and is available from Rococo System and Design. |
