DF Solutions

Media Servers

Imagine a home where every room has its own on-demand entertainment system, with instant access to your entire movie and CD collection, as well as internet based streaming content.

DF Solutions range of Media Servers enable you to create the home of your dreams, whereby the whole family can easily store thousands of albums and movies in a central location, and then access them around the house.

Whether you’re by the pool, or in the kitchen, conservatory or study, you can pick up a remote ( or an iPhone, or touch – screen interface), and instantly pick the specific content you want, or let the Server do the picking for you. When you then sit down to relax in – front of a television, you get to use the most stunning interface available today.

Browse and wander around your entire media library in full hi-def quality. And while you’re at it, why not learn a bit of trivia at the same time. With movie reviews, Artist synopses, discographies, pictures of the band, suggested listening and more, browsing has never been so much fun.

DF Base

The Base Media Server is a central unit that can supply independent audio in up to 17 individual rooms, so while Radio 1 is playing in the kitchen, a Kaiser Chiefs album can be playing in the living room. Each output can be individually controlled by a wide variety of devices (iPhone, IR remote, Crestron touch – panel to name a few), or by the shared TV interface which can control any one output at a time.

The Base also manages movies and can play Bluray, DVD and movies clips in full 1080P quality. Audio is high – quality and can be configured to match the home cinema speaker setup.

DF Link

The Link is a slave unit to the Base added to a network already containing a Base Media Server, the Link provides an extra zone of audio and video, so different movies can be playing in different rooms of the house at the same time. Each unit can be independently configured for different parental control requirements. Link units are also small, discrete and quiet, perfect for adding to an AV shelf below the home – cinema TV.
